The Ombudsperson for Children will inform the applicant about the activities undertaken in connection with his/her application.

If in the performance of their duties the Ombudsperson for Children finds out that a child has been subjected to violence, abuse, exploitation or neglect, he/she will file a report with the competent state attorney and notify the social welfare centre. The Ombudsperson can follow the case but has no influence on the procedure and time limits of state institutions.
