Any citizen who believes that they has been discriminated against based on gender, marital and family status, or sexual orientation in any area of life and work can contact the Ombudsperson for Gender Equality.

Form

The Ombudsperson can be contacted in writing by post or e-mail address and via the form for reporting discrimination.

Language

Submissions to the Ombudsperson for Persons with Disabilities are submitted in the Croatian language and Latin script.

If, certain units of local and regional (regional) self-government, in addition to the Croatian language and the Latin script, introduced another language and another script into official use, the parties who reside in that area can submit submissions in another language or script.

Documents

No additional documents are needed when applying a complaint to the Ombudsperson for Gender Equality. 

Time limits

Upon receipt of the application, the Ombudsperson for Gender Equality will contact you in the manner indicated by you in order to arrange an appointment for the meeting.

Legal aid

You do not need a laywer when applying or writing a complaint to the Ombudsperson for Gender Equality.

The Ombudsperson is authorized to give legala dvice until the initiation of court proceedings. 

The Ombudsperson's treatment of your complaint is free for you.

The Ombudsperson for Gender Equality does not represent citizens before state bodies, bodies of local and regional self-government units and legal entities with public powers, does not provide legal assistance and does not interpret laws and other regulations.
