In performing tasks within their scope, the Ombudsperson is authorized to warn, propose and give recommendations.

State, county and local bodies are obliged to inform the Ombudsperson in writing about the measures and actions taken in accordance with the warnings, proposals and recommendations within 30 days from the date of their receipt.

In case of non-compliance with the request or in the case of failure to provide the requested information within the prescribed period, the Ombudsperson may request supervision from the body that supervises their work.

If, in the performance of the duties, the Ombudsperson becomes aware of a violation of the provisions of the Act on Gender Equality with features of a criminal offense, the Ombudsperson will file a report with the competent state attorney.
