Demonstrations & Strikes

Demonstrations, strikes, and other forms of peaceful assembly are a legal way of exercising your right to protest and one of the forms of freedom of expression and the corresponding right to assembly. However, for these to be allowed, such form of assembly must meet certain criteria.

The Constitution of Croatia protects the right to peaceful:

  • meetings
  • processions
  • pickets, and
  • the right to strike.

The state has a duty not only to allow for assembly take place, but also to ensure that it is not impeded.
