Anyone can turn to the Ombudsperson for Persons with Disabilities and submit a proposal for consideration of issues of importance for the protection of the rights and interests of persons with disabilities.

The Ombudsperson for Persons with Disabilities will inform the applicant about the activities undertaken in connection with their proposal within 60 days.

If, in the performance of their duties, the Ombudsperson for Persons with Disabilities learns that a person with disabilities has been subjected to discrimination, violence, sexual abuse, abuse, exploitation, neglect or careless treatment, they are obliged to immediately submit a report to the competent state attorney's office as well as warn the competent state administration body and propose measures for protection of the rights and interests of persons with disabilities.
